Week 7A - Briggsy Awards

Most Interesting Part of This Class: All of the different projects we did in between stories and poems and such. I thought those were always fun. Most Boring/Useless Part of This Class: Book Roundups. I never remembered to do mine until the last minute so they always sucked. Hardest I Laughed in This Class: Probably when we watched our stories we made on paint and how Brigs made fun of everyone’s. Thing That I Learned That Will Be Most Useful to Know in the Real World: Everything about writing stories and poems and things. Best Thing About Brigs as a Teacher: He’s fun and makes projects and things to so we aren’t always learning right out of the book. Also, every day we had time to talk to people, even while we were working so it wasn’t all that boring. Thing Brigs Could do to Make This Class Better For Future Classes: I can’t think of anything.

Week 6A - Your Top Films

The Blindside is my favorite Drama. I just think the whole thing is great and I love it. I could watch it over and over a thousand times. I like a lot of chick flicks. I make Skyler go see them with me in theaters all the time. I don’t remember the last time we went and saw something he picked :p oops. Well my favorite chick flick would probably be Sweet Home Alabama. It’s just really cute. For horror movies, I can’t really pick a favorite. They are all basically the same but I love watching them! Same with Disney movies. For my favorite comedy I’ll say Elf because it was the first movie I could think of that makes me laugh the whole way through it. I love Elf :)

Week 5A - A Wrinkle In Time

I can’t really think of anything that I would go back and redo in my life. There are a few things but they are not that big or major. If I could I would probably go back and redo a couple things from high school, like not doing any sports or clubs or anything. That was kind of a dumb choice. I probably would have talked to more people then and it could have been better. Also, I would probably change how I acted with Skyler because he complains about it a lot. I would just walk away from him a lot and not talk to him whenever I got mad. He didn’t like that too well and now I realize how annoying he is going to be about it. :p

Week 4A - Casting Your Life

There are a lot of people that are essential in my life so I’ll just pick a few. To play the part of Skyler in my life, I would pick Taylor Lautner to play him because I just think he’s really hot and he seems like a good match. I’d probably pick someone like Selena Gomez to play me because she’s fun. My mom said she would want Sandra Bullock to play her because well she just likes her. I think this movie would be a mixture of things. It’d be funny a lot of the times, but there would probably be a lot of drama in it too.

Week - 3A I'm So Sorry

Dear ******, I am sorry for being so mean to you. You are pretty annoying though so sometimes I just can't help it. For example, when you sing while I am trying to talk to you, or when you come up behind me and scare me when I am at my locker, or when you pull my chair out from under me when I go to sit down. Yeah, that gets pretty annoying when it happens every day so I don't really pay attention if I am mean to you or not because I am already just really annoyed with you. But I am sorry for being mean. Week 2A - Snopes

So to this day I always thought that if you swallowed your gum it would stay in your stomach for seven years. Apparently that is not true and my parents and teachers lied to me so that I wouldn't swallow my gum. I also learned from snopes that January is break up month. I didn't know there was an actual month for that. I don't really see a difference in the amount of people breaking up in January though. Reading all of these different things was really weird. Some of them were entertaining, but I think a lot of them were kind of stupid but whatever.

Week 1A - Love Stories

I would have to say that my favorite stories are ones that my uncle tells me. I don’t see him much but when I do we always just sit there and he just talks and talks. It’s never boring though because every story he tells is so funny. He doesn’t even purposely try to be funny either, I just think he is funny and he makes his stories really interesting to listen to. I don’t really remember any specific story he has told me, but I like all of them and I love to hear them. His stories are my favorite.

Week 8 - The Zombies are Marching

So for my zombie survival plan I would team up with Skyler. He plays zombies on Xbox a lot so he’s a pro. He says he will go get some flaming hot Cheetos and some weapons and then run in circles while attacking them whenever they come. I would probably just take his Cheetos and then find somewhere close to hide out so that he kills them all or whatever and I’ll then be safe. I wouldn’t help with the killing part though because I don’t think I would be very good at it. When I play that game with Skyler, I always end up killing myself or something, so I would just let him do that part.

Week 7 - Top Ten

My top ten list wil be the top ten reasons I think Skyler is annoying.
1.) He always sings, like constantly. He just never stops. It's not that he is a bad singer or anything, he just always does it so it gets really annoying when I am trying to talk to him or something and all he is doing is singing.
2.) Skyler thinks its funny when he sneezes or pretends to sneeze on me. It's disgusting and I hate it.
3.) He always tickles me and I can't stand it because he just won't stop and finds it so funny.
4.) His "pranks" just suck. They aren't funny either.
5.) He makes mexican jokes too much.
6.) Skyler also thinks it's funny to fart on me ... That's just gross.
7.) When he's driving, he thinks it's okay to get on people's butts and that freaks me out.
8.) Also when he is driving, he loves to scare me and get in between semi's.
9.) He always forgets to do things, even after I have reminded him multiple times.
10.) When he doesn't tell me things because he knows they would make me mad. I would rather just know straight up without having to find out later. That makes me even more mad.

Week 6 - Myths About Teens

A lot of things have changed since back then, so a lot of people have incorrect perceptions about teenagers these days. I think some of them are pretty true for the most part, but others I don't really agree with. For example, some adults think that all of us teenagers are lazy. Just because we can't get jobs and don't clean house all day everyday doesn't mean we are all lazy. I also hear all the time about them having to "walk up hill both ways to school everyday," well I think that is just unfortunate. It still doesn't mean we are all lazy.

Week 5 - My Odd Habit

I don't really have a lot of odd habits or routines. One thing I do though, is whenever I have a plate of food, I make sure none of my food is touching. That's kind of weird and childish, but I don't like when it touches or mixes together. It just bothers me. Another thing I do that's kind of weird is that I organize my locker by my classes. I have to have my first two classes' books on the top shelf, and on the bottom are my books from my last two classes. Whenever they get all mixed up I always have to fix them right away. It just doesn’t seem right when they aren’t in the right places. Also, every time Skyler puts his books in my locker, I put his books on the bottom and his binder on the top shelf. I don’t know why I do that but it just keeps it organized.

Week 4 - Beloved Toy

When I was little, I had a ton of stuffed animals. My favorite one though, was this little pink bear. It wasn’t just a regular bear though. This bear had a little snow globe type thing for the nose. The snow globe had fake snow in it and also sparkles. I would have to sleep with this bear every night and if I couldn’t find it or something, I would freak out. I’m not really sure why I was so obsessed with this bear. I don’t even know where I got it, but I loved it and it was my favorite.

Week 3 - Fear

When I was younger, I used to think that there were monsters under my bed. They were only under there when I was going to bed though. During the day, I was fine. Whenever I would go to turn the lights off or something I would jump out of bed and then coming back to my bed, I would jump back to it from a few feet away so that they wouldn't get me. Also, I had to have my mom tuck my blanket under my feet so that they wouldn’t eat my toes. That always freaked me out. It was kind of a dumb fear, but it scared me.

Week 2 - The Perfect Mate

My perfect boyfriend would probably have dark hair and dark eyes. He wouldn't be super tall, but he would be taller than me. I would want him to be in shape too. He would be confident, but not super cocky. He would be a Christian. One of his pet peeves would be chewing like a cow, just because I think that's nasty. I would want him to act the same with me when he's around his friends and when were just by ourselves and not be completely rude just to look cool. He wouldn't make me mad all the time just for the fun of it either.

Week 1 - Dear Kiddo

Dear Future Child,

So first off I would just like you to know that I love you, and I will no matter what. I'll probably spoil you, but you better not become a brat. I hope you're a good kid. Also, don't grow up too fast because you're going to be older one day and realize how much you miss being a kid. So make the most of everything and know that you can get through anything. This world's pretty tough though and has lots of ups and downs, so just stay strong. I know we will probably fight and have arguments, but just know that I'll always be here for you. well that's all, love you.
